Original Risograph print in black and red on 220gsm acid free fine art paper, signed and numbered (Limited to just 10). Hand made in Melbourne on Bianca, my beautifully quirky Risograph duplicator. These have a wonderful vintage look which hopefully the pictures show. The ink is soy based, although don't try licking it - it tastes pretty terrible!
I'm a vegetarian, but even I love bacon when no one is looking! I based this diagram on the one at our local butchers, clearly!
Risograph is an antiquated printing method that uses wet ink, printed one colour at a time. Registration isn't easy - in fact nothing about Risograph is easy! Bianca - about 20 years old now - will more often than not throw up some form of minor (or major) error or physical failure, which invariably involves breaking out the screwdrivers mid project in an attempt to finish the job. She's very particular about me feeding her imported Japanese soy based printing ink which goes in wet and can often make a completely horrendous mess on the floor. Suffice to say, it's nothing shy of a minor miracle that I'm able to offer these prints to you, which are made with huge amounts of love, and many hours of shouting and crying at Bianca. Clearly I love her dearly as you'll see on the highlights reel on my Instagram.
