Flash one, and instantly, everyone understands your needs, wants, or feelings. No need to carry them all, just the ones that will make your day easier.

Created to make interactions between people as simple as possible, these super clear and highly effective self-advocacy cards will empower users with a strong voice thanks to a no-nonsense design language with universal appeal.

You can choose between two great ways to access our self-advocacy cards: purchase a DIY printable version that you can print out, cut, and laminate yourself, or get our interactive iPhone, iPad and Android app, available from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Whether you prefer a hands-on creative approach, or the convenience of a digital experience, we have you covered!

PROJECT BACKGROUND

After our daughter was diagnosed autistic in 2023, it soon became clear that being able to find the right words was often a painful experience for her. When we failed to find a set of Self Advocacy cards that were both easy to use, and importantly didn’t make her cringe, a project was born.

FindYourVoice is a journey of emerging discovery for us, and we hope it stays that way—always in flux, always improving. It seems that these simple cards hold universal appeal for everyone from the youngest to the oldest in all sorts of situations. Our dream is that people find them useful, no matter how minor that improvement is to their day. If you have any feedback, suggestions, or just want to share a story of how FindYourVoice helped you, we’d love to hear from you!

A calm exit, with a clear plan.

We’ve made a free card to help kids leave the classroom when things get too much.

It’s for moments of overwhelm — when they need space, some peace and quiet, or just a break. With an agreed plan in place, the child can place the card on their desk and leave the room without needing to ask or explain.

But it only works when everyone’s on the same page. Talk with your child’s teacher or school beforehand to create a safe, clear plan: where they’ll go, how long for, and how they return.

Download it, print it, and share it. Use it to start a conversation — because every child deserves a way to feel safe and heard.
